Document Shows Senator Ogembe Resigned from PDP Weeks Before Suspension

A document dated August 10, 2025, reveals that Senator Ahmed Salau Ogembe resigned his membership in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Upogoro/Odenku Ward, Okene Local Government Area, nearly two weeks before reports of his suspension from the party surfaced.

In his resignation letter addressed to the PDP Ward Chairman, Senator Ogembe stated, “This decision was taken after careful consideration and wide consultations with my political associates, supporters, and family members. While I remain grateful for the opportunities and platform the PDP has provided over the years, I believe it is time to pursue a new political direction in the interest of my personal convictions.”
Expressing appreciation, he added, “I sincerely appreciate the leadership of the PDP at the ward, local government, state, and national levels for their support during my period of membership. I also thank party members, friends, and supporters who have stood by me in [my] political journey.”
The document, confirming his exit with immediate effect, clarifies that Ogembe had already parted ways with the PDP prior to the suspension announcement, raising questions about the party’s actions and fueling speculation about his next political move in Kogi State.
