JUST IN: Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan Faces New Death Threat After Senate Return
Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, has received a chilling death threat just days after resuming plenary on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, following a six-month suspension from the National Assembly.

The threatening message obtained by Sahara Reporters, was sent via iMessenger by Tobechi Okwuonu using the email address mailtobex2000@yahoo.com, contained explicit and abusive language, escalating concerns about the senator’s safety.
Titled “There Is No Nigerian Senate,” the menacing message declared, “Your death sentence is in full swing. The execution is a foregone conclusion. You are a corpse. You are not back to Nigerian Senate because there is no Senate to return to. You are back to your coffin, but not as a zombie this time, you’re back there as a corpse.” It further stated, “Rot in hell, Wicked Bitch. You won’t reincarnate. I won’t let you.”

The threat follows a tumultuous period for Akpoti-Uduaghan, who was suspended in March 2025 for alleged misconduct after accusing Senate President Godswill Akpabio of sexual harassment and protesting the reassignment of her seat.
During her suspension, her office was sealed, security details withdrawn, and she was barred from Senate activities.
Her return, reported by Ebira4real, was marked by defiance as she described Akpabio as a “dictator” and maintained she owed no apology.
This alarming threat adds to Akpoti-Uduaghan’s growing list of security concerns.
